NeoShield has a termite treatment added to the insulated backing during the manufacturing process. The active ingredient, bifenthrin is used at safe concentrations (6320 mg/kg) to cause no harm to installers or home owners. Bifenthrin is also commonly used for household pest control, crop protection and as a topical treatment for flea and tick control on pets.
